It is a standard in the printing industry to allow for overs and unders. This means that while printing a package if the printer runs a quantity below a certain percentage (the standard is generally 10%) the manufacturer/printer is obligated to print more to meet the minimum, at their expense. But if the manufacturer prints hundreds of additional packages more than what you ordered they can only charge for a maximum of 10% over the original order. The exact percentage will vary between manufacturers, but no more than 10%. This is protection for the customer to know they can not be charge for more than 10% over the order or receive an order less than 10% of the amount that was ordered. Typically you will receive overs on most standard packages, some custom packages may fall into the unders category because of the difficulty of the custom piece to produce.

Example: Order for 1000 binders, you will receive no less than 900 binders (unders) and no more than 1110 binders ( 100 overs). 10% +/- the quantity ordered. All of these packages are custom made, we cannot provide exact numbers that will be ship until the job is complete The exact number of packages is added to the final invoice after the package has shipped. We recommend that you allow for the percentage (either 10% or 2% - 5^) overs in your purchase orders knowing it can not go any higher than this amount, and may fall below it. |
